Nintendo and Microsoft have come together, and they made the announcement at E3. A few videogames will soon have cross network compatibility between Nintendo Switch and Xbox One players.

The first game that will soon have cross network play is Minecraft. Players on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PC versions will be able to interact with one another. The “Better Together” update for the game is what will enable cross network play. The update is expected to be released in August.

The next game to soon have cross network compatibility is Rocket League. A port of the popular game will be released on the Switch later this year. Switch players will then be able to play with Xbox One players right away.
