Fortnite Now Available on Nintendo Switch

The rumors circulated about this one for awhile, and Nintendo made the news official at E3. One of the most popular videogames right now is now playable on Switch.

Fortnite, the wildly popular online shooter is now playable on Nintendo Switch consoles. Rumors had circulated about the possibly of Fortnite coming to Switch in the past few weeks thanks in part to leaks and data mines. A leaked list of Nintendo’s E3 announcements that apparently had Fortnite listed started the speculation about the game coming to Switch. A recent data mine of the Switch eShop had a listing for Fortnite showing that the game coming to Switch was inevitable.

Since its initial launch in July 2017, Fortnite has taken the gaming world by storm. The free to play online shooter has become a phenomenon as it seems to be the game everybody is playing and talking about. The game is playable on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and now Switch.

Nintendo made the announcement official at E3, and Fortnite became free to download and play on Switch shortly after. The game has reportedly drawn in two million players from Switch, and that number is likely to keep growing.
