We recently discovered a trademark filing from Sony concerning Breaking Bad, and this one is a doozy.

Before we get into all the details check out this application filed by Sony on June 5, 2015.

What is interesting about this application are the details under the Goods and services area. Code 9, 28, and 41 are all gaming related and are used frequently by Sony anytime they file for a video game trademark registration in Europe.

So what does this mean? Are we getting a Breaking Bad game?

Well, if you really read everything listed in the subsection of the Breaking Bad trademark application, you will see that the possible game can range anywhere from traditional gaming software to slot machines. Breaking Bad mobile game anyone?

Let’s examine the possibility of what most of us want. Breaking Bad on the PlayStation 4!

Is it even possible? The short answer… of course it is! Sony owns Breaking Bad and can do whatever the hell they want with the IP. Many fans have clamored for a Breaking Bad video game for quite sometime now. Let’s just be realistic for one moment; there have been plenty of terrible video game adaptations based on television shows already.

For example.

A Breaking Bad video game could be awesome if it is handled properly. Many fans would like to see Telltale Games handle the potential title, but I personally would like to see something on a grander scale.

If you look at the header image, it’s a 3D model of Walter White from artist Frank Tzeng. Frank Tzeng just so happens to be the Lead Character Artist over at Naughty Dog.

As much as I would love Naughty Dog to develop a Breaking Bad video game, I seriously doubt that will happen. I’m just simply pointing out that if the IP is handled by a passionate developer, then it’s very possible that we could get a quality Breaking Bad video game.

At the end of the day this trademark filing could turn out to just be an idea that never happens. It’s just really cool to know that there is definitely a possibility for a Breaking Bad game.
