Tyler the Creator arrested at SXSW for inciting a riot
On Saturday afternoon, alternative rapper Tyler the Creator was arrested at Austin-Bergstrom International airport for inciting a riot at his show during SXSW. During the show, Tyler had allegedly urged concert goers to break through a barricade, continuously yelling “Push! Push!” Naturally, Tyler’s fans listened, and broke through barricade, allowing the concert to become more violent than usual.
Although Tyler’s Converse/Thrasher Death Match show was canceled the night before due to a hit and run that injured 23 people and killed two, it is just the beginning of his legal troubles. The 23 year old rapper has taken to Twitter to explain himself, exclaiming “Dear You, That Tragedy That Happened Has Absolutly NOTHING To Do With The Show At Thrasher At A Different Location A Day Later – T.”
Tyler is currently being held in custody on a $3,500 bond.
