Your lie in April English Dub Trailer

Will she reach you?

Your lie in April was one of the most jaw dropping and poetic anime I had the pleasure of watching in 2015. Everything from the art style, music, and storytelling, to the water color still shots were absolutely captivating. It introduced watchers to a love story with so much inspiration and passion that even modern day romanticists wish they could replicate. Before watching Aniplex US’ first English dub for the anime, I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Let’s just say I was not at all disappointed. If you don’t believe me, you can check out the trailer for yourselves in the video below.

The dubbed cast includes the following VA’s:

  • Max Mittelman as Kousei Arima
  • Erica Lindbeck as Kouri Miyazono
  • Erica Mendez as Tsubaki Sawabe
  • Kyle McCarley as Ryota Watari
  • Erika Harlacher as Takeshi Aiza
  • Stephanie Sheh as Nagi Aiza
  • Julie Ann Taylor as Nao Kashiwagi
  • Robbie Daymond as Saito
  • Carrie Keranen as Hiroko Seto
  • Cristina Vee as Koharu Seto
  • Wendee Lee as Saki Arima

Aniplex will be releasing all twenty-two episodes in two separate Blu-ray volumes on May 31st of this year. However, if you are absolutely dying to own a physical version it’s going cost you a pretty penny. These volumes are up for preorders at a whopping price of $129.98 each volume, adding up to about $260 for both. If you do the math you’re basically paying almost $12 an episode! Some people today aren’t even willing to pay $12 just to see a newly released film. If that turned you away from purchasing this set, one can only hope that Aniplex gives us a reasonable and major price drop sometime in the future. Regardless of the price, YLIA is still a very underrated show that I would highly recommend you all give a try which you can do for free on various anime streaming websites.
