‘Your Lie in April’ Live-Action Film Gets a Full Length Trailer

Your Lie in April/Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso will be hitting the big screens of Japan and Toho Studios have released a full feature trailer.

The live-action trailer for Naoshi Arakawa’s YLiA may be full of cheerful smiles, but don’t that fool you into thinking this won’t end in tragedy. Check out the trailer for yourselves in the video below.

Some of the characters features have been changed for the adaptation. The main one being Kaori’s character. Instead of casting a blond female or providing a blond wig, the actress portraying Kaori, Suzu Hirose, is shown with a natural brown haired look. This will most likely not set well with most fans since Kaori’s long blond hair, not only was a bold attribute, but made her stick out the most in the anime. However, the response seems to quite mixed but fans have still been open-minded to this change.

The film is stars Kento Yamazaki (Kosei Arima), Suzu Hirose (Kaori Miyazono), Anna Ishii (Tsubaki Sawabe), Taishi Nakagawa (Ryota Watari), Yuka Itaya (Hiroko Seto), Rei Dan (Saki Arima), Masahiro Komoto, and Hirotaro Honda. It is scheduled to hit theaters September 10, 2016 during Japan’s roadshow presentation.
